"Empowering communities through educational development"
TEAM's education development initiatives focus on four areas: Primary education, Scholarships, and Health Education.
This is accomplished through the work of Abbottabad Christian Girl's High School and Murree Christian School (see separate initiatives for details).
SEAP (Supplemental Educational Aid Program)
SEAP provides scholarships for poor Christian young people to pursue education beyond 12th grade. Students are interviewed to both guide them in their choice of training & career as well as to evaluate their committment to serving their community when they begin their career. Funding of this program is both from TEAM Pakistan and external donations.
TEAM Pakistan also assists communities and schools through public health lessons. These community-based trainings help people understand the benefits of preventative health, proper maternal & child care and simple curative medications. Regular school surveys are also conducted to help inform parents of proper health care and hygiene for their children. Health education for common chronic diseases (diabetes, hypertension, etc) is given through the outpatient department at Bach Christian Hospital.
